Motorola Offers Limited Offer Discount For Moto G (1st Gen)
While most people are excited that Motorola is coming out with the 2nd Gen of their Moto G, don't forget that the 1st gen is awesome as well. The OEM is not letting you forget about the original, as they're offering a $40 discount when you buy a no-contract version of the Moto G with 4G LTE from their online store. And if you're looking for a new mid-tier device, you should take advantage of this offer.
The Moto G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. It has a 4.5-inch with 1280 x 720 HD, 329 ppi Corning® Gorilla® Glass display. It has 8GB of internal storage, but supports microSD cards of up to 32GB. The main camera has 5MP while the front-facing one has 1.3MP, and video capture is at 720p HD. Out of the box, it has Android 4.4 KitKat, but Motorola is rolling out an update for the Moto G 1st Gen in the next few weeks to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The 2nd generation Moto G or Moto G 2015 4G (they should really come up with simpler names right?) is almost the same as its predecessor except that it has a bigger display at 5" and its rear camera is much improved at 8MP with the front camera getting a slight upgrade to 2MP. It also runs on KitKat out of the box, but there will be an upgrade to Lollipop eventually.
You can get the Moto G 1st Gen with 4G LTE for only $159.99 from their online store only until March 25. The Moto G 2nd Gen will not have a discount of course, but you can buy it at just $179.99, off-contract from the site as well.
